Not to be negative, but rodnkock does tend to be quieter when the motor's cold, and louder when it warms up. I was thinking that it could also be a very large valve shim clearance or two, but that would be very very gradual, not something you'd suddenly notice.

If you're planning on 86 rwhp, I suggest that you DO consider the weight of your sound system. :)

Wells PS123, used on roughly a kajillion cars. Cost about $8 shipped from Ebay, and threads right in. I plan to install a single red led into the face of the oil pressure gauge, inline with a small Beeper, also mounted into the gauge cluster.
