OEM waterpump has a stamped impeller, aftermarket is cast and appears that it wouldn't flow as well (not to mention the impeller falling apart or eroding away).
If the fan clutch isn't operating correctly it can cause overheats at any speed (as it did on my car)
Stock pipe has plenty of give.
Not overrated, it's a durability thing, unless you don't like your motor mounts and you like exhaust leaks... Not to mention clunks and bangs from the exhaust slapping the underbody.
Depends what they washed it in. If you have the head off, replace them (sounds like they might be OEM, which I can bet on them being worn out or completely desintegrated). Removing the valve springs and putting them back in is going to be the toughest part, if you don't think you can do it...
Rear strut mounts, self destructing waterpumps, cracked t-stat housing, ect ect ect...
BMW's are sweet rides, but damn I'll take a stock supra, fix the HG properly and never have an issue that could potentially injure me...
Garage kept my ass with the paint fade and the leaves on the cowl...
If you look closely the steering wheel is shot, not to mention no good pics of the top of the dash and the top of the back seats.
It doesn't add up.
I've been able to keep up M3's in my car with my mods...
Not to mention some of the nasty failures they have. Supra is much better built in comparison...
It's also supposed to keep the pressure waves controlled so you don't get lean spots from reversion.

There's more, but it seems to be overlooked when people modify cars...
MKIV one would do better in that case, never seen one on a 7M with the normal intake routing until that pic...
The main point is that it would have to resist twisting, and most of the bars are adjustable...
Point being, there are FAR better places to spend your money.
Not to mention the woven wire ones look like that inside...
Bottom out on the downpipe without a flex and you're just waiting for broken motor mounts, stripped exhaust studs, ect...
FPD isn't part of EGR :D
Anyway, nobody seems to study what the FPD does, but like the EGR it's assumed it's not needed...when in reality it does serve a purpose or else Toyota wouldn't have spent the money to put one on.
