    tachometer help.....

Hmmm... both of those wires go thru the M1 cpnnector... so, I'd check to make sure that you got connected to the right ones going to the dash/guages... Rick's got them mapped out here... http://1jz-gte.us/documents/SubDocs4/IG1-1990.pdf Is the guage cluster from a turbo? An N/A (MKIII)...

    DFW area

O hell-no U dint... :3d_frown: Just kiddin'... he's got a long history of being the go-to MKIII guy in the area. Knows his stuff and extremely trustable for cost/service. He's the guy who gets to do things right, the 2nd time for many of us (when we mess things up, trying to do it...

Steps for dropping in a 2jz in an MK3...

Document as much as you can, before getting too far into the swap. When you get done, you won't remember all the different things you did and why. And, it makes it easier to research any bugs that come up... from a PS steering line leak, to wiring/sensor bugs.

I pissedmy pants laughing so hard. xb tried to race me.

It's too much!! I get ppl trying me in the fiance's MKIV N/A.... I just kinda smile and ignore 'em. Then they just show me how it is, while I watch 'em rev up to 5K and still be going 40 as they pass me 'cause I'm turning off. But their awesome too-big exhaust makes a sound that just makes me...

    2jz mkiii gets no love

We toyed with the idea, when pulling the 7M out of my 90... told the fiance we were gonna "not only" turbo her 94 N/A, but it would be single... right off the bat. She wasn't very happy with that idea and promptly made sure that I did not "toy that way." :-(

    2jz mkiii gets no love

...we are definitely dis-owned when it comes to this issue. If I wanted an MKIV, I'd get one. I wanted a more reliable/newer engine and the notoriety that comes with it. I'm sure that a 500 HP 7M (MKIII) will beat my stock 2J (MKIII), so why should I be in a different class? It's...

    Help with timing belt change

...that, or if you're just buying time 'til you get to the headgasket, any auto parts store will have a the usual assortment of OEM replacement belts. the seals should definitely come from Toyota.... UNLESS! Just get a complete headgasket/rebuild set AND the timing belt. A Fel-pro (or...

    new 1jzgte/2jzgte?

We got our 2J clips for ~$2900 shipped... tho Cassio's ended up having rodknock. I'll know how mine is very soon....

    new 1jzgte/2jzgte?

Impossible dream... for what you'd spend in "all new" parts, you could've bought and killed several Aristo engine sets/clips. You can get a used one and replace the internals with hi-performance stuff and basically rebuild, before you install... That't the furthest I'd go with this idea...

    2JZ-GTE/auto MKIII ???

Yep... He and i have gone thru alot of the swap together, but I sent him my JZA70 bellhousing, so that he could go 5-speed. Although he did not document much of the auto-stuff, I got the remainder of the info from Arnout.... so I'm good as far as pin-outs/wiring. I have everything I think I...

    2JZ-GTE/auto MKIII ???

I've looked and searched, but nothing concrete. Anyone out there with a 2JZ/auto (I'm using an Ariston set), in an MKIII? Mapped out the wiring?? I'm gonna be finishing up my swap this coming weekend and would really like to just compare what I've done, with a known-good running...

    ALOT OF INFO!!!!!!!

I agree that the PVC may work in a pinch and that it may be used in a hidden spot (where a stock plastic piece may have been), but it's just not made for this type of application (automotive). I have used it and relied on it heavily, when trying to mock up the different routing and angles...

    targa problems

The Fiance's MKIV gets a "targa-loose" condition often.... I was noticing that it's barely starting on my MKIII.... I was under the impression that you could replace the bolts or assembly (inexpensively) and figured I'd eventually get to it. Does anyone know for sure?

Wiring in the 2JZ auto-wires to MKIII

Well... we got it "almost" done. Basically using some of the 7M harness connectors and making an intermediate harness. I still need a 90+ B1 connector, but will make do without it if I need to. We didn't get into the interior yet...by where the connections go to the 7M's ECT computer...

    black leather $$

^^ A few years back I almost got a hold of an shadow grey interior... just seats, door panels and a couple of pieces of trim.... I was getting a steal at about $850, but someone local bought it and picked it up, before I could even log into my Paypal. A good, complete interior is easily...

Wiring in the 2JZ auto-wires to MKIII

I am finishing up on my wire-mapping tonight (wiring up tomorrow) and have not seen anything too-comprehensive about making the wire connections for the 2JZ auto tranny. I am using what I know and think it's going to be fine, but if anyone's got some resource that could help, please let me...

Need JDM non-VVTi Aristo 2JZ-GTE Wiring Diagrams

I can't right now, but do a search for Cassio's thread on his 2J swap. The ECU is kinda widely known, but he pinned out the 3rd connector coming from he engine harness to the dash. Christian and I just traced/mapped the connector that would go back to the Fuse/junction box (from that 3rd...

Need JDM non-VVTi Aristo 2JZ-GTE Wiring Diagrams

I had the 1999-2002 JDM Supra w/VVTi wiring diagram (mostly ECU info) and we've pinned out the Aristo's (JZS147) ECU... Which set of 2JZ diagrams are you needing? What's your setup?

Aristo body/gauge plug (PPS & tranny wiring)

Cassio's already pinned out the big plug coming from the Aristo's engine harness (to the body), but we haven't got the trans info... http://ibconceptions.com/supra/2jz/2...npinout224.jpg Basically the pins marked "trans" weren't traced/needed at the time, but we know they are for tranny...

Good paint shop in tampa fl.

Dang... that's too bad. He and his wife ran the place and were kewl ppl. Recommended them to a botload of locals out there. They did my 86.5 all black for ~$400 (w/integrated clear...). The 87T they did for $450 with a 2 step clearcoat deal. That integrated clear stuff did not last too...
