If you have a good enough cooler (swiftech with a delta hairdryer of death fan) you'll be able to overclock the piss outta that CPU... You could remove your cooler, clean the hell outta it, and use arctic silver. Stock AMD coolers are fine, even for considerable overclock, but it seems like...

Might just not have the power to pull it off... A couple games I've played I had to go into the config files and tweak the piss outta them to get the settings even lower. Also, you can set global driver settings for the video card to get things even lower.
