Ive seen quite a few home paint jobs before that ended up a nasty sight but you and your father did a great job, im guesing you both did your research before attempting it.So whats next for the 1jz?
Its kind plug and play youll need to solder/crimp your new clips for the injectors and for the afm im pretty sure youll need your stocko blackbox and honeycomb guts and refit it into the new afm.
you'll need at least a fuel computer and a dyno or a wideband to give it a tune to get it all...
I see what your saying (I think) When boost comes on, you dont have instantly 230hp, you still have to build that power according to revs. You may not feel that 230hp till 5000rpm.Varying turbo and cam combinations can give you large increases in power within certain parts of the rev range where...
You mean if we got a 7mgte and took off the turbo and then got it dynoed?
That would be the only way.Mine has positive boost pretty much whenever i stand on the loudpeddle but it may not be making max boost until a little later in the rev range.
Your fuel system will need at least 550 injectors just to be on the safe side.
Your fuel pump is also going to be replaced to be on the safe side and you can do that with a denso or walbro.
The guys "jacking your thread" wouldve had some great advice, i personally wouldve encouraged there...
Hi, that looks like a good start to a strong 7m, id get the crank balanced with the harmonic balancer as well. And you might want a new oil pump thrown in especially if its got a few miles on it.Whats a high flow water pump? are they made by toyota?
Another handy gadget for the 7m is the remote...
The oil pressure sender looks like the stock one off my 91 cressida grande.
Good work on your build, I personally find the blue a bit too bright but its your car so its your taste.
keep up the updates...:icon_bigg
Sounds like a wild story.Theres very few 600hp evo's and even so the supra would have an enormous torque advantage.Unless they raced first one to 60mph...
Years ago i worked for the australian housing commission repairing homes and i saw a few disgusting examples, like druggies that leave there needles scattered everywhere and mothers that just throw there nappies in a pile out the window until the pile gets so high it starts to come back in the...
Well if it makes you feel any better i pay the equivalent of roughly $6.25 per gallon. Ive stopped worrying about it, i just bought a motorbike for work days and the car is now for weekends only(and rainy days):icon_bigg
i hate to say it but i like bees and think there couldve been a better way to remove them, like borrow a honey suit and a fogger and get them all in a hession bag and take them out the bush somewhere. If it was wasps then it would have been a different story.:naughty:
hahhaha i love your back sprocket, id have changed it a little sooner than than letting it get to that point but its funny just the same. One of the oldest bike arguements is should i lube the chain or not. With some of the newer o_ring chains they claim its not necesary but i use chain lube after...
I did a BHG on a turbo A and took the head in and measured it against a
91 model 7mge head(cressida grande) It was identical.Your money is much better spent on a fresh head and refitting it with whatever you feel is suitable for the type of application your engine will be used for. Most cases...
Didn't this turn out to be a depressing thread! Im going to drive my supra like i stole it and when i come back ill be in love with it all over again.
yeah i know how you feel, everytime i see a lotus exige sport...but i suppose theres always going to be something more appealing but at the end of the day you just have to be happy with what you got.
