hahah no im not suggesting everyone with a tough 7m throw down a challenge but someone who has a 7m with similar mods to the 1jz that at least looks after it and has it tuned. Then of course do it in a controlled environment, and it would make for a great comparisson.
Im willing to use my...
Good to see we can discuss the two motors in the same thread without it getting closed due to pissing war.Great to see your humility even after smoking your friend fairly....
Next time though please find a 7m thats been looked after, not one thats already dead but just doesnt know it yet.

That vid had a lot of things i like, good camera work.Sensible run out in the middle of nowhere by the looks with some great toys.
Loved it and cant wait for more......
Although there was one thing, id love to have seen the results from a standing start as well to maybe 120 mph.
yeah thats pretty low comp , i wouldnt stress over ARP's at that pressure.lol good call though on pulling it to bits if its running great and reliable.
cant wait for further progress.
Gday matey,Love to see a supra at the strip, ive just a few engine questions though...Why the 3.mm h/gasket? What piston and rods are you useing?whats your comp ratio?Has the head been ported? im just curious because i expected much more on the dyno considering the size of turbo and the good...
Ok cool, kinda figured it wasnt the finished product when the rest of the car is so perfect. So whats the story on the auto? is it a a340? or some gm tranny? either way your cars insane and a inspiration to all 7m owners..
From what i can make out, wouldnt the lines have less flex if they were routed through the inspection panel with the panel modified to suit with holes cut and rubber grommets to surround the braided lines? or is this just done so we can get a better look at the clutch?:icon_bigg
I wouldnt imagine anyone going na/t wouldnt change the headgasket considering the compression ratio is a pretty vital component to a turbo engine.
The 2jzge never had a turbo to start with so obviously youll need turbo gaskets .
:dunno:
Thanks nick im not so good at the abbreviation's.
I totally agree with the 2jzge na/t being the most efficent way to go, especially if your not familar with the 7m's little trouble spots or just would rather not pull the motor down and do a full rebuild.
Ive seen a few 2jzge motors now...
