    A/C upgrades (R134) - Operation Chill

Agreed! I almost fell out of my seat when they said they'd not process the application because of the missing credit/bank data. I had already explained things to them before, but think we're on the same page now. I won't let all of this be too much of an obstacle though. If the condensor I...

    A/C upgrades (R134) - Operation Chill

I'll post the info, soon as I receive mine and know that it's an exact match/fit. I should have it very soon (no later than a couple of more days). We are still working out the details for a large-volume order (providing that the price, fitment, and other factors are all good). Looks like...

    A/C upgrades (R134) - Operation Chill

Filled out a credit/reseller application today and still have to do more... Kind of a hassle really. I've offered to pay up front, but they still want credit/bank info (ain't gonna happen). Don't see enough interest from the forum yet to go thru the hassle, so am probably not gonna go through...

    2JZGTE VVT-i On A MKIII

I drove mine a little bit and some of the local guys saw it. Ran SMOOOOTH. I may try it again one day.

    Windows auto-up, using DEI 529t roll-up module

This one has the auto-sensing as well. Just never had the feature before, so wanted to know of any pros/cons with our Sups. Did not get to install it yesterday, so I may try this evening. Thanks for all the info!

    2JZGTE VVT-i On A MKIII

Yes! I've heard all kinds of BS about high-HP limits, but have seen something about a 900+ HP VVTi somewhere outside of the US. The stock ECU is probably good to about 600 HP and I believe that they've used an AEM or other aftermarket ECU that could do the wasted-spark stuff. It's a...

    Windows auto-up, using DEI 529t roll-up module

Yep me too, my driver's side already has the auto-up mod from the previous owner. I am using the DEI 529T roll-up module. I did not want the roll-down option, but may consider it later, if I find a good-enough reason to. This is the link to the install manual(MS Word format)...

    Windows auto-up, using DEI 529t roll-up module

I am probably going to install the module in the dash somewhere, running the appropriate wires to each door's switch/motor. I had seen/heard of others controlling both windows from the driver's switch/door (not on a Supra though). Also, since our door mirror mounting brackets always get...

    Windows auto-up, using DEI 529t roll-up module

Finishing my alarm install (hiding it properly) and am getting ready to install an auto-window-up deal that rolls the windows up when the alarm is armed. I have used the alarm install info from the Tech-tips section, but did not see anything about this. Does anyone have some experience...

    A/C upgrades (R134) - Operation Chill

I have a part number, but like I said... seemed almost "made up at the time." -Just kinda iffy. I am going to post pics when I go to change it out and make sure things fit like they should. Not trying to get committment, just trying to gauge interest. Do I order 10, 20, or 50?

    A/C upgrades (R134) - Operation Chill

In addition to just replacing mine, I am completing a reseller agreement thing with the manufacturer. They said that there'd be significant discounts in doing so and buying in volume. I have not even started making arrangements with the mods for an approved group buy yet, but am curious of...

    2JZGTE VVT-i On A MKIII

VVTi is just as easy/hard as any other swap. Just have to get the engine from the right source (preferrably a Supra). The one I had came out of a 99 JDM Supra. The hard part is making sure that you can use it without the drive-by-wire feature and that the ECU does not have the immobilizer...

Lots of "wander" in the rear end at speed

Had a similar issue with my 87T once and found taht one of the bolts holding the diff, was missing. Junkyard or Toyota were my only choices. I think I got it from Toyota and is was kinda expensive (for just a bolt anyways... may about $10, can't remember now).

    Brake issue

I've seen some ABS unit bleeding procedures in the MKIV TRSM, but am not aware of that being necessary in the MKIIIs. It may explain the perpetual sponginess I've had in my 1990. But, I never had to bleed the ABS in any other of my MKIIIs and they were fine. However, with a used MC, you may...

WTF is up with all the MKIIIs getting stolen lately!?!?

That is very true... However, I think that time is the factor most people don't account for. It may take 15 minutes (usually more) to get the car to a safe place to strip, but if you have your lo-jack or whatever installed and can trip it in time, you will recover most of your vehicle...

WTF is up with all the MKIIIs getting stolen lately!?!?

This has been on my mind as well and there are 2 directions we are going with our Supras... 1. Prevention - Installed newer 2-way paging alarms with modern features (proximity sensor, glass break, tilt sensor, & a couple of others). 2. GPS - We're installing a separate (from the alarm)...

    A/C upgrades (R134) - Operation Chill

After many calls and email exchanges, I ordered a "stock replacement" parallel flow condensor today. I should have it by next week. I am a bit skeptical, since they said it would take a few days to manufacture, but had a part number ready, and seemed hesitatant with the price. The person I...

AC going back in, need input on flush

Actually, ordered a "stock replacement" parallel flow condensor today. I should have it by next week. I am a bit skeptical, since they said it would take a few days to manufacture, but had a part number ready, and seemed hesitatant with the price. The person I talked to said she'd talked to...

AC going back in, need input on flush

Thanks! Gonna go junkyarding this weekend to see if there are any other Toyotas with the right dimensions, same ports, and same location of the ports. There are MANY aftermarket/universal options, but they all require the fabbing of lines to their ports. All kinds of hoses & fittings...
