I'm sorry for the double post but I just saw this picture - posted while I was typing my other response.
You spent $20K and your car looks like THAT?!? DUDE! What the F were you buying? A diamond encrusted shift knob? WOAH!
I'm guessing that if you spend money the same way on a Mustang...
If you want to buy something and have it grow in value then a car (any car) is not - I'll say this again NOT - the correct path. Buy a house, get some property, buy gold or diamonds but do not try to convince yourself that dumping any amount of money into a car is going to make it appreciate...
I won't hate you for going newer. Some of the nicest Supra owners I know drive MkIVs.
I will hate you if you become an arrogant prick after making this change - of course if you are already an arrogant prick then I won't hate you any more than I already do. ;)
I hope you have a good...
I can't stress how much I agree with the above sentiment. We don't need another MkIII blowing up at another major event just to prove that if you don't do the job right the first time you will blow your $#!T up.
Do it right THEN go out there and WOW the crowd!
The Supra is NOT the weak...
step 1: Cut out front bumper
step 2: Order FiberFlex (get the kit with the iron) and the FlexFiller
step 3: Sand the floor (oops nose)
step 4: Fill in Vs with FiberFlex - just like you are soldering
step 5: Sand the floor - lower than the rest of the bumper so you can raise it up with...
I got to drive a TT with only about 1000 miles on it a few times. It was VERY nice. Everything was still so new and clean.
Then I had the leather in my 89T redone in 2001 with a LOT more miles on it than the TT. You know what? It felt as new and clean as that TT with just 1000 miles...
Not my style personally but I'll go a different path than everyone else here.
Leave the lip polished
Paint the spokes black
Color match the center cap to the body
If I gave up this design it wouldn't be limited any more. :) I have more plans for shirts as well - as long as Tanya doesn't mind a little competition. hehehe
I'm currently working on a possible MkIV shirt and also have ideas for a nice MkIII shirt. I also have another project in the...
What is this "Search" you speak of? Wait... let me google that. Nope that doesn't help either - 3,860,000,000 results. You surely can't expect me to have to wade through that many links to find the answer.
I guess I'll just have to make a post asking how to search.
OK... I'm down to just 8 XL shirts left and then this run is gone. There will only ever be 75 of this design in the world so this is a very limited edition.
I've been considering redoing mine - starting with a new nose piece. If anyone in the NW is interested I'd sell my current one - see pics of the white Supra in this thread (not the pic just above this post).
The new nose is $320 and I've already done the labor to remove the fins and fill...
My big @$$ed FMIC is not black actually. It is just sitting in there deep enough to not get any sunlight in either of those pics.
Chris J did have his coated black with a nice thermal disperssant (supposed to increase the effectiveness of the IC)
I couldn't agree with you more on this statement. I've seen too many MkIIIs where they just left the cuts visible - so you can clearly tell it was hacked up.
