Actually neither of those links has the answer. Sad really because it is an easy answer.
Step 1: Remove the plastic undertray inside the hatch
Step 2: Remove the bolts/screws holding the wing on the hatch - only the center section is necessary
Step 3: In the center post remove the...
Some of the nicest Supra owners I've met are MkIV owners. I've also met some real @$$hole MkIII owners. And guess what. Being a prick is not limited to just Supra owners.
This is SOOOOOO true. I've seen some real POS (and no, I'm not talking about the terminal here) MkIIIs over the...
But you also add increased rolling resistance. I don't see autoX or dedicated track cars rolling tires that wide. Why would a "street" car need that - except to say "I've got fat@$$ed tires Beeotch!"
I don't even remember what Targa-Wobble is - that's how long I've had my bar. I was riding in a friend's MkIII with the top off and noticed a substantial flex when going over bumps.
I have no other bars in my 89T
Would I buy another one for another Supra? You Betcha!!!
LarryA made a comment after he got his - way back in the 20th century - that it made an 80% improvement in reducing chassis flex with the roof off.
"Generally" being the key word here.
The MkIII was designed to have a Do-Luck bar mounted. There are perforated holes in the carpet that match up to threaded holes in the body that are PERFECTLY aligned for mounting the Do-Luck bar.
The replicas do not fit as perfectly as the original...
If they want it badly enough...
Back in 2001 we had a Supra show up at SILV that didn't even need to lock the doors. When they parked they lowered the frame down onto the ground. The only way to take the car was to get a crane. You couldn't even tow it.
Sure... MkIV Brakes are better than MkIII brakes. But are they enough better to offset the cost?
Spend the money right the first time and do your brakes RIGHT! Give AZP a call and see what they can do for you.

THIS is where the forums fail. We need a much better mechanism for tech tips - and no not just a section with tech tips posted in a regular topic.
The quote of the day.
Are you trying to tell me that you are smarter than those people that make their living designing headlights and vehicle lighting? or maybe just smarter than the people that make the rules for US vehicles?
The E code lenses are STILL designed for halogen bulbs...
HID Retrofit = ILLEGAL! and Dangerous!
The problem you are having is that Halogen lenses are NOT designed for HID bulbs and thus the focus/cutoff are wrong.
Do it right (replace the entire lens with an HID designed housing) or don't do it at all.
I'm just glad you are on the other...
hmm... gutted interior. Building a track car? drag or road course? If you're going that far why not just remove the headlights entirely and save even more weight and hassle?
As I said before... nobody has done this before so you're on your own. Good luck.
OK... I still think it will look funny - and to make the look complete you will have to rework the steering column surround to get rid of the holes that will be left behind.
Not enough bang for the buck/effort in my opinion.
