Keep it garaged. Work on it in your free time. Once you get it rebuilt it should be pretty reliable if you've done a good job. I don't think I'd ever sell mine but I would put it away if it came down to that.

So then mainly what they're trying to get across is don't change your oil just because you hit 3000 miles right? Instead wait until the oil has been worn out?

I think the tranny-engine mounts are different, I don't remember though.
