As far as I know the pre-89 only have two connections going to the starter. At least that's how it is on mine. What kind of plug is on the 2-wire connection?

There should only be two connections. The clip on the top of the starter and the positive battery cable.

Maft pro is easier tuning. Of course it still depends on what else you have, i believe you can make 500+ with a lex but I might be mistaken, it will let you make plenty of power though. I would have went maf pro but I got certain things with my car so I'm gonna try lex/550's and see what I get.

Safc is easy if you can do soldering just make sure you have everything hooked up right. F-con comes with a harness that has plug built in. Safc is easier to work with though.
