    Question on OEM springs

You missed my point, driving in the ditch didn't cause any body damage, it just tweaked the chassis (was pulled straight on a chassis machine). The new owner will never know, and if he had sold it with the frame tweaked they wouldn't have known either unless they went and measured (which he...

    Flywheel bolts keep backing off...

that's mean.....but funny Call up time-sert and see what they say, bet they'll work fine in your application (their sparkplug repair is fantastic, and they use em on top fuel dragsters so I'd think they'd work fine, but they'll tell you if they'd take the forces). But even then, you have...

    Question on OEM springs

LOL Modern cars are usually WEAKER as they have crumple zones. If they measured ride height and it was fine on the subframes but supposedly the body wasn't straight, then it was in a wreck or the subframe mounting points are screwed (yet again, FROM A WRECK). You have no idea how many...

    Question on OEM springs

Yep, bad bushings can affect ride height, alignment can as well... My car doesnt sit as high as a lot of other supras I've been around, but that's not exactly a bad thing... And YES the targa is SUPPOSED TO SIT THAT WAY. That's why it's CRITICAL to tighten the bolts in the correct order...

    Question on OEM springs

Actually, the targa is slightly bowed to allow it to properly seal (hence why it has to be installed in a specific order). Also, many muscle cars are LESS stiff because of their ladder frame chassis. Also, many muscle cars are unibodies as well (Camaro, mustang...) and they are TERRIBLE in...

    Seized turbo & other issue

Need to install EGR unless you're rtunning the JDM ECU (ECU is tuned for EGR, removal isn't a good idea, and it doesn't affect performance). If the turbo is siezed, it may be trash, you'd have to send it out for a rebuild and see what they say...

    OS Giken Clutch issue

Don't have to pull the cotter pin to adjust the freeplay, just gotta loosen the lock nut and turn the shaft (should be easy as it doesn't sound preloaded). I know there is some other adjustments with the OS Giken, but I haven't seen any directions for it...

    Fixing a Month-Long Blonde Moment

Your car is also heavier, lowered, different tire size than stock... Not bashing you, as I know you're anal enough to pay attention to your tire wear :D If you had one of those pressure pads where you can see the pressure at different points of the contact patch (like the auto makers do)...

How to buy an MKIII from an old timer?!

Put your money where your mouth is... Walk up with $10K cash and I bet he'll sell... Honestly the last person that offered me $2K for my car got a dirty look then I laughed as them. My car looks like a piece of shit on the outside, but the interior is mint.

    Question on OEM springs

If the screws come loose you're tightening in the wrong order, or the screw are damaged. Most (all?) unibody cars have subframes. Muscle cars are NOT unibody, they're frame on chassis, the body doesn't take any loads. No, targa cars don't get twisted from riding with the top off, if...

    Fixing a Month-Long Blonde Moment

As I really don't want to get into this arguement, I will say this... Fine, the sticker on the door is old, but name just ONE new car that runs max PSI on the stock tires. That alone makes any and all comments null and void.

I fail on an epic level

Guess nobody noticed that he passed the field sobriety test, but failed the breathalizer... Some people have a better tolerance than others, and it's been proven that people aren't always impared, that's why the tests where created. I'm sure if he had failed the tests he'd be sitting in...

    89+ changes..?

That rack is going to be a PPS rack, and fuck all if I can remember if pre-89's have PPS. If it does, you'd need the power steering pump (or just the pulley) as they use a smaller pulley to push more pressure (this offsets the lack of the dampener). If it doesn't, I doubt it can be adapted...
