Suuweet! Will it hold IJ's poem to my wall if I print it out and frame it!? ;)

Not running the juice. Not yet anyway... ;) I haven't been around supras as long a lot of guys on here; but, in my short Supra life, I haven't seen this happen either. I'm only at 13 psi of boost so I can't imagine it was that.

    Rebuild or Replace?

I also say rebuild it. I went through three JDM's before I got one decent enough to go through and re-gasket. In all three JDM's that I took apart, none of them were 'Drop-In'. The first one had been run low on oil and had a toasted top end and the second one had a BHG on #6 and a badly...

Easy enough. Any idea what caused it to blow out...is this common? Thanks Jdub!

There is a hole in my Intake Manifold! See pic.

I looked at my 87T and that manifold is different; but, the hole is plugged so I went out and looked at my 89T. That manifold is the same and has that hole plugged. Now that I know that it's supposed to be plugged, what in the world caused it to blow out of there!??! Next is to figure out...

There is a hole in my Intake Manifold! See pic.

Just the other day I could not boost past 10 psi. I didn't have time to investigate until now. I started looking at vac lines and such and then saw this. I don't have an earlier picture to compare things to; but, I'm pretty sure this wasn't like this before my boost issue. Could this be...

    PacNW Supra Nationals 2009 Location?

My .02 is that maybe the cruise should be before the drags because people might break stuff dragging and miss out on the cruise. I guess maybe if their car won't hold up dragging they shouldn't take it on the cruise; but, hey...just throwing that out there. :)

    another wont start thread

I have driven to a given location, was there for about 20 minutes, and when I went to leave, the car would not start. I popped the hood, shook my CPS wires, and away I went. So yeah! Over night, 20 minutes, even while driving. Bad CPS wires are a common problem with our cars and can be a...

Your sig is misleading. Are we talking about a 1j or a 7M? Does it spit and sputter or not turn over at all?!

    Another bhg

Thanks for the compliment on the dyno numbers. It just goes to show how much power you can get out of these without pushing them! The idea about him putting in an OEM may be possible for a lot of folks; but, not for this guy. This guy was NOT a wrencher at all! The only toolbox he owned...

    Targa vs. Non-Targa - weight & performance

My buddy always said that my 87 hard top was much more rigid than his targa even w/the top on. All in all...the sunroof gets my vote! ;)

    You wanna go Grandpa!?!?!?

Good stories Fred. I have a couple myself; but, not as good as getting pulled over twice by the same officer and having him tear up your ticket. That's awesome! 15 years old (that's when you get your license out on the bayou) in a 69 Mustang Fastback. I had a buddy in the car and he...
