    2500 doing 60.. that's what I do now. But most hwy is 70 mph my car turns 2950rpm. And I feel that's too high for long trips. It would be nice to crusie 70 at 2500

    Yes 1j with r154. And no not really any trouble. Kinda sloppy and starting to grind from 4th to 3rd. Hp wise I'm shoot at 600 wheel next summer. The tranny should hold that with a good rebuild. I'm just looking for the gearing u get from the extra gear on the hwy and still have a real quick...

    So I just took a measure off of a gt0 t56. And with the gm bell its about 30inch from back of block to the center of the shfter. And if you run the remote mount factory gto it makes it 3.25 inch longer . So at its longest it would be 33inch and some change. I would think with 2 less pistons...

    Looking back at my build thread. The r154 with the soarer remote shifter was 31.5 inch from block to center of shifter. Now I know u can't run the remote mount on a supra and I don't have that measurement but if I would guess it would be 25 or 26 inch without it. Ill try to get the t56 length later

    Yeah my buddie nathaninwa has a t56 bolted to his 2j but that is going into a volvo so length is No comparison. But I have been kickin around the idea of rebuilding the 154 in my car now or going to a 6 speed. I will have to measure his 2j set up and post it on here if he has not already

    Ah that's good to know.. I was kicking round the idea of mounting a t56 behind my 1j in the futur. So that is something ill have to look into. And is that 8 inchs with out the remote mount shift extention on it?

    This may be a dumb question. But why not just go with a t56 and a wilwood clutch pedal set up ? Granted I know nothing on the subject of ls swap. But seems like it would be a givin to go with a tranny that bolts up. Just asking a prob dumb question

    I would also start shopping arp. In most cases or at for me when I did my motor. Apr headstuds and most other bolts where cheaper than the one time use tty toyota bolts. If not the same price. I would do head studs and flywheel bolts for sure . Depending on how deep your digging into your motor

    iifrc. Every gasket on my 1j was steel.. I just copper sprayed them and reused.. I did get a new head gasket . And for ure do the front and rear mains. And cam seals. And output shaft seal in tranny . I would replace the vavle guid seas.may be cheaper to just order a full gasket set for 1j. But...

    The ecu will take care of the low throttle. ..butwith big cams u and injectors u will have to pull fuel at a idle to get it tto go closed.. I pull 8 percent at 1k on the low to get the car to go closed loop

    1jz aftermarket oil pressure sender location. Intake or exaust side?

    i used the one on the exh side also. reads fine. we just drilled out a toyota oil pan plug and tap for 1/8th npt. i had to use a 90 to make clearance for the sender
