The starter is fairly straight-forward. I generally use a number of extensions with 1 universal (wobbly) joint to get to the top starter bolt (socket-wrench will be just in front of/below the alternator)

Correct. You will just have to short two wires to make the ECU think you're in neutral (allowing you to start the car), and will need to wire reverse lights. If your car has cruise, you'll need to do some other wiring, but my car doesn't so I can't help ya there

You are correct, many of them are not hard. However, some seem to be easy but are misleading so it would be less accurate to list only the ones that are unusual
