Taking the interior apart to get the ECU disconnected, removing the wiring harness without breaking it (hard), and much more shit to disconnect...
if your time is worth money, buy the damn jack LOL
Cheap turbo car is gonna be beat the fuck out of.
Save up for a swap (or start buying parts and stockpiling) if your car is in good shape. As you have a 91, more than likely it will be in better shape...
no, not interchangeable
At least not directly.
I run a Koyo race radiator, and it's for the 1J. Has the temp sensor bumb and you have to fabricate brackets (and modify the aux. fan bracket) to make it fit a 7M shroud and aux. fans.
Supposedly the 7M radiator and shroud will fit a 1J/2J...
Torquing everything is just as easy with the engine in the car.
Most people have issues getting the tranny lined back up, if you have a tranny jack (like I do) it's MUCH easier to pull just the tranny.
I see people spray their IC with CO2 or nitrous at the drag stip all the time...
CO2 will bring you down on power as it takes the place of oxygen and hurts the combustion process. Nitrous on the other hand...
Torsens are better in corners
For drag racing or drifting, no, I'd run a tight stocker (with less friction modifier as well), but for raod racing and canyon carving the torsen is better.
