Check the wire harness at the plug of the water temp sensor. Make sure none of the wires are green or broken
My did this also.. random misfire run like shit. And it got worse over time. The problem was bas wires at the water temp sensor
Does the car have stock cams?. Sounds like too much base fp.. when I did my 440s in my car I had one bad one also
And you will have to tune the afc. Try to lower the base fp or maybe you can try to make adjustments at low rpm on the afc
Is this the driftmotion box?.. you should call arron at dm. If you call aem they will go to their standard answer they will say "its your wiring".. I would call arron and explain it to him if is their 1j honda box setup
Just rebuild the 7m. If u don't want the power.. I think the rebuild would be cheaper and more reliable than a junk yard motor with un know abuse in the long run
If u can't find the plugs in a 7 heat range witch is part number4644.. you can get a the same plug in a 6 heat.. ill have that part number later its on my bench
Make sure the tps is calibrated .. also ck out the coils for cracks. I would also get rid of the iriduim plugs and go get the stock ngk plug part number I belive is 4644 that came in it gap at. 24 to 26.
Correct.. but don't most of the go full open at like 180 degrees ?. I would think that you would want it to maintain around the 200 area.. or what is good oil operating temp. We are seeing 200 cruising woth no cooler at all. What are your thoughts on the oil temp?.
