Held up just fine -- and it was nice wearing tires evenly for once. Major downside is that it sucks for road course/mountain roads... Event pics here btw: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3080
Thanks! You've got some great pictures! Lol you've even got one of me with my arm out the window (trying to show off) just as I was spinning :icon_redf It's a shame I missed your run, I heard you were running just as you passed the bathroom so I could only see your smoke trailings and hear...
I'm currently on a welded diff while waiting for the slow boat from japan to bring my ATS 2-way. It's held up to a fair amount of practice so far, but today's event will be the big test...
HKS Sport has 60mm piping (~2.4") and should only be used by NA's
CTSupra -- you probably had the HKS Turbo (75mm piping w/ dual tip)
I like the Blitz but it is on "indefinite" backorder. The JIC is my second choice, 3" piping and the standard SS version (with resonator) is usually in...
:drink1: Nice job Adam! I'm definitely impressed. And Bummed -- I was planning on doing a dimiliar set-up to you swapping a two-way and torsen for drift & road course.
weird, learn something new every day. Seems a bit wasteful to design two heads for the same engine when there were already 6 other variants for the same car...
They had an F head for that block? Or is it 1G-GE (since they had the 1G-GTE)
F heads = DOHC low-end grunt (passenger cars/trucks)
G heads = DOHC mid-high end power (performance cars)
The car will stumble/stutter/possible stall under some circumstances but you can learn to overcome it by blipping the throttle. The problem is most apparent when you're boosting then push the clutch in
Trimming/clipping is where they grind off the corner of the exhaust turbine's blades at a 10-14 degree angle (a lot like when you grind the edge of a valve). It is supposed to improve flow, and I don't think it has any effect on lifespan
Doh! I'll update that listing tomorrow
(AEM says: "The install of our gears do not add horse power, it's all in the tuning...we do not have the cars long enough to test every possible combination, so we recommend that each person tune according to their setup (boost, fuel, ignition, and...
The Koyo was made for the 1jz Supra, so it'll drop right in for you. For 7m-powered cars, you have to plug a bung on the bottom of the radiator that is used for the 1jz coolant temp sensor. Give me a call on monday and mention Supramania :)
Sure, that's part of the addition for me. I tend to analyze every little thing every day, but when driving seriously everything else just fades away. If you're thinking about what you're doing, you're one step away from the task at hand (Platonic, isn't it?). When you're in the "zone" you're...
