ive always heard to use a lightweight mineral oil to break in an engine.
as for the bitron, i think most of us are still skeptics til we can get some more results. not knocking it in any way, though.
definitely talk to jtamulis, he knows his shit.
not knocking ron r, but i wouldnt go with a ffim just yet. id spend some on making sure you can get the fuel system ready to deal with the power youre going to be making later. id reccommend the lexus afm and 550s, then if you're ready...
if youre dead set on removing it, dry ice is the way to go. freeze it nice and hard then just chisel it away and itll pop off in big pieces like other people around here have reccommended.
haha, senior here too. ive got govt and english, then somethin like a 2 hr chunk of free time.
hahaha, i was trying to get some sleep last night but kept refreshing trying to see if i could help GotToyota with his TPS problem.
thats how mine is...you in school right now too?
one day it got blocked and i almost died from withdrawal. next day its back open, so i dodged a bullet there
not s&m, but i can't stop checking the forums for updates!
I love SupraMania!
seriously, thanks everyone for helping me waste my time and occasionally get my Supra running again.
im thinking college is gonna be a helluva big change from high school, even with the HS teachers trying to prep us. all i know is that calculus is kicking my ass right now.
well...im applying for early decision at Virginia Tech, gotta be in by November 1 so i'll let you guys know how it goes!
as for my major, i have no clue. something in engineering, perhaps mechanical.
if anyone's looked at my homemade exhaust thread, then you'll know what im doing.
if you haven't looked at my homemade exhaust thread, its not that hard to figure out:biglaugh:
anyway, i need to know the flange size to weld onto some 2 1/2" pipe to meet up with the downpipe.
is it...
ive only heard of power losses through 3" or bigger stuff on an NA. I think that 2.5 might create enough back pressure to keep it steady if not give it a little gain. besides, how can 6 cylinders sound like rice? haha:drink1:
so i've got a small welder, a little extra time and an idea.
wouldn't it be fun to weld myself a straight 2.5 inch exhaust from the header/downpipe back?
i'm talking straight pipe, nothing but a flange on one end and a few hangers. it'll be cut and welded at proper angles to make turns...
