    Do you have first hand experience to back that up? I don't think it would be too bad with some nice mods on it. Maybe small/mid sized turbo upgrade.

    I can think of alot of other engines I'd rather put in a Corolla than a 1G... SR20DET, 3S-GTE, or F22C come to mind right away.

    bone stock 7M-GTE is pretty damn slow too. Of course the turbo will take to basic mods so much better than the GE will.
