as for parking in a high crime area, i can definitely not rule this out. i just meant to say that for now and the next five years, my car is going to be parked safely in the garage. after college, who knows? so yes, a valid point has been made for the security system/keyless entry combo.

i'd just tap into the wires for the cig lighter, you've got a 12v power source, lights that are controlled with the dimmer/parking/driving lights, and a ground all in one. and most people don't use the cig lighter anyway.

spelled graphite, you can find it at any hardware or auto parts store. i also use superlube, some kind of teflon based lube that doesnt attract dust.

mothers mag and aluminum polish works great on anything i usually encounter. as for heavy stuff, i usually have to buff it out with some compound.
