Would have been perfect for my car (color is a blue/purple/black depending on light conditions), and more or less wide enough and set far enough out for me to be happy.
When they first put them up for bidding they had them priced at ~$1750, so I figured $1200 would have been a good deal. :)
Around 118*C it will start heading north on the stock temp gauge in a hurry, 220 might be a tad warm, but it shouldn't kill your engine, if Toyota's engineering department set the gauge to read 'normal' from ~80*C-118*C...
If you weren't meant to be able to do this, Toyota would have sealed it off, similar to what they did for the 7m, no? I'm just recommending what might get him through the day, give me a good reason it's a bad idea, back up your theory on why my idea doesn't work.
Oh... I believe I might be...

Just curious, I figure it's almost gotta be someone on here. Hope they look better on your Supra than mine, because they would have been AWESOME on mine, color scheme-wise.
I'll toss my vote in on 1k for the interior at least... if it's in good shape of course. Maybe offer him $500 for just the interior, who cares about the rest? Can't be much there you don't already have or need...
Could you back out the throttle screw a bit?
Talking about the set screw inside the nut to the left of the upper left nut on the throttlebody... hope that made sense. :)
Already planning things out, the things I wanna get done before then (you should see the pile of parts in my room awaiting a long weekend!) and have every intention of being there for the fourth consecutive event Keith. Need to start setting aside money for this though...
Sold my 88 at around 145k, rarely had even a minor problem after the BHG fix. 89 probably has something around 110k, speedo's been broken a while. Mk2 has over 215 and running strong though! :)
Actually... you know what? It had fallen off the end of the shifter when I was pulling everything apart. How the hell does THAT happen anyway? Thanks for pointing that out btw, I had forgotten about that...
Link doesn't work. ;)
I'd suggest you stop using Dodge products if your department can. Can't say I've ever heard of oil turning to a jelly like form, my guess would be some sort of foreign chemical may have been introduced into your vehicle somehow, and caused a chemical reaction... but I'm...
I'd love an old 18RGEU powered RA2x Celica someday. Almost bought a former race/rally one before I picked up my current Mk3... Wouldn't mind an old Skyline either, they were pretty sweet. However, not many of these cars are around anymore, JDM or otherwise.
I gotta ask though, what's with...
I wouldn't be running for dear life, but it wouldn't exactly be very high on the list of $1000+ modifications either. Now if I didn't have two car payments to make... This sort of thing would be done in a heartbeat. :)
Mechanical speedometer buddy, shouldn't be any resistors. What's your setup? Tire size, rear end ratio? Plug those into this:

Not too hard. Take for example your car. If one assumes it's a stock 87 turbo with 225/50/16, 3.91 ratio, then at ~3000rpm in...
