Could you back out the throttle screw a bit? Talking about the set screw inside the nut to the left of the upper left nut on the throttlebody... hope that made sense. :)

Sold my 88 at around 145k, rarely had even a minor problem after the BHG fix. 89 probably has something around 110k, speedo's been broken a while. Mk2 has over 215 and running strong though! :)
