I've heard nothing but great things about shaftmasters!!!! I emailed them to ask how long it would take to make a drive shaft upon recieving my money and they said 24-48 hours. As soon as I can I'm getting the single piece al drive shaft.
yeah i fully intend on getting a drive shaft from shaftmasters but right now i just need something to hold me over so i can get my windshield replaced cause when it rains i get a huge puddle on the passenger seat...kinda tight on cash lol
Is there one floating around here? Do I need to get a new one or can I go to a savage yard and pick one up...I just need a quick fix right now so I can afford to get a new wind shield. How much time should I set asside to replace this part and all that? What tools are needed so I can get...
as sucky as it is.....this a situation for you to be a stand up honest man and give $60 to dominos cause it was an honest mistake and thats not you money....then its up to dominos to be honest and appolagize and credit the customer back his/her money.
Kinda blows but thats what an honest...
read the stickies.......
But there really isnt much you can do...lightweight fly wheel and drive shaft...lighten the car....but as far as more power there nothing that will change alot other then expensive machine work and then you'll be stuck burning race gas and say bye bye to passing...
ISO is a pain....right now I'm running parts on a citizen cincom turning center with about 37 cutting tools and two spindles...the parts are .0003 tolerance...and when the air conditioning kicks on my parts change size and I have to compensate for that asap.....the parts go into the workings of...
sorry for not makeing myself more clear and informing you all as to what uncle sam considers a mirror finish....this was my bad...I tend to forget that not everybody has a machinist hand book at there side LOL.
I hope no hard feelings...I just wanted to help this guy not fuck his head up with...
I agree an ra of 50 is more than perfect.....my arguement was to not get a mirror finish in professional terms....moral of the story is a mirror finish is way overkill which is what I've been trying to stress the whole time...agreed?
and to avoid more future confusion a "mirror finish" in most shops hold a standard if an RA of 4-8 and an optical mirror is .1-.4...sorry for not being an old timer and useing the term mirror finish so loosely!!!! Maybe if I was so old and wise it would be acceptable for me to give wrong advice...
sorry I must have confuse your idea of a mirror finish....In my world (ISO certified world) a mirror finish is is considered at no less then an ra of 12 as a matter of fact I just finished parts that required an ra of 8...these are parts to an experimental machine that is to be mounted on...
an actual machinist gives you the advice your looking for...then you proceed to say later on "finally someone who knows what they are talking about"...as you can see the machinist was right and will not help you anymore...
And no you do not want the mateing surfaces to slide that is by...
sure but how long can you resist turning up the boost? For what your doing the head will not need any special finish....for a basic head gasket the finish will be straight forward...right off the head mill machine and onto you block...no laping will be needed...infact if it was to smooth there...
Oem gaskets blow balls if your planning on boosting much.....but if you insist on that route then just take the head to the machine shop ....they will look up what kind of finish is needed....they will have access to all that info for an oem application....its only when your useing after market...
IJ.....dudes car just burnt up let the boy vent a little man....there is no need to call eachother out.....guys situation really blows if I do say so myself and I'd expect some venting....
dsbetterhalf.....we have babies for sale right now....these babies just came in today from a very very well respected high end Surinam breeder....thy are very resonably priced and I can have pics asap if your interested!
