Some close ups of supra interior

I re-covered my stock shift knob in new leather... Then bought the TRD one anyway. ;) Nice pics, tho.

    ABS Swap

There's a line going to the transmission for the manuals, too. It's the speed sensor that the ABS runs off of. For ABS, you need the speed sensors off of each front wheel, and the transmission output. You need the "skid control" computer and the wiring harness for it. You need to change...

    Lexus afm question.

IMO, the Lex + the 550s is still a SAFER mix. To me, the larger injectors was what I wanted, so that I could extend the amount of fuel delivered. The Lexus AFM makes it a no-brainer upgrade, and leaves any future upgrades from essentially a stock starting point.

6.5" speakers in your pre-91 doors

Not yet. Life got in the way, y'know? I'll post up when I get these started though!

sound quality with this sub and box??

What's the X, Y and Z dimensions of that slot? This will be needed to determine the port's parameters, so that you can determine what you'll get out of it as a ported enclosure.

    Lower IC pipe (Opinion Plz)

I bought one of these when I did my 7M swap. Pros: Cheap. Fewer connectors than stock. No fitment issues (though getting the silicone coupler onto the CT26 was a chore) Cons: Not larger than stock. Overall, it was a good buy, and I don't regret it. Even if I have to replace it when...

    PVC IC piping?

Meh. I wouldn't use PVC myself. It has some advantages, for example, post intercooler, it's an excellent heat insulator, so it will prevent heat from the exhaust manifold from getting to your air charge. It's also lighter than aluminium, though I don't really think that the miniscule weight...

    4:30 Lsd

I had a 4.30 LSD with my NA stock, but it started with the grind of death, and the replacement that I could get was a 3.909 LSD. It didn't seem to make an appreciable difference, though I was running NA at the time.

    What turbo,Trim?

57 trim upgrade is widely accepted as the best reliable CT26 upgrade. You should verify what you have. Maybe it's worth it for someone to rebuild and get the upgrade that they want. Some people do want th e biggest compressor wheel that they can put in the housing.

    Fuel Tank Capacity?

The fuel sender in these tanks is notoriously off. I've repaired mine. It shows full properly, but when I have 1/2 tank left it shows just over 1/4. When the sender was in need of repair, it got so that it would never read more than 1/2 tank, ever. If it was more than that, it would read...

    My car has no heat

I have the Mercedes VSV in there for the heater valve, but I did it a long time ago, so I don't remember the part number. It should still be in the tech tips section on the supras.com website though.

Can a radiator be too efficient ?

My thermostat got stuck open. With the stock rad, the engine never warmed up, which I verified was actually the case because I also had no heat. Replace thermostat, and it's all good. I now have a Koyo aluminium radiator, and it's still all good.

sound quality with this sub and box??

Remember that the 2 cubic feet does NOT take into account the volume that the sub itself displaces. That one looks pretty big, and will displace a fair amount of air. That said, I like nice tight bass, and tend to make my enclosures more on the small side than the large side. Fortunately...

Yeah, those are the nice ones. I can find them easily enough, but I can never bring myself to spend the money on them.

    Temp Sensor question.

This used to happen to me once in a while. The problem was the starter contact. When it was hot particularly, like after a long highway drive the starter would refuse to turn. A simple push-start, and I was off. Eventually, the starter refused to turn over the engine at all. I had the...

    Wire harness splice

Heh. I say that, however, seeing as how the crimping equipmeht that I have sucks, I solder all my stuff anyway, then use heat shrink tubing to provide strain relief.

    LS400 4-Pot brake upgrade for MK3 adaptable?

Um... One flaw in the logic. The Mk4 TT brakes are different from the Mk4 NA brakes. The TT brakes won't (for example) fit under the 16" wheels that the Mk4NA got. Therefore it should not be assumed that Mk4NA brakes will mount the same way as Mk4TT brakes. It would therefore be a...
