I would have put the 89+ console lid in mine, but they aren't available in blue new anymore, so I bought a pre-89 instead.

You're going to need a newer external amp, the harness that runs from the stock wiring to the external amp, and you're going to need to change the connectors on your stock wiring to fit the newer harness. (87+).

My car has a Lexus AFM and 550cc injectors, no SAFC or any aftermarket electronics, my car drives as good as stock or better. Stock ECU, stock electronics, stock fuel pump, it runs great, and there's no reason it shouldn't, that's the whole point of the Lexus AFM/550cc upgrade.
