It has 2 seperate mufflers inside, it comes in at the top, goes through, then loops back around to the bottom muffler, where it exits out the back of the car. It's a clever way of getting a larger muffler into a shorter space.
Hmmm... my interest is piqued. What sort of housings would these be retrofit into? I'd assume he's providing the original housings, and that they would be plastic in order to allow the retrofit, correct?
While it might look odd, it's actually a very good design and performs and (more importantly) sounds well. When it's installed on the car, you can't see the loop, and it looks quite nice too.
It has the horn on it. It should work on a North American Supra. The only issue you'll have to deal with is the horn pin, but I *believe* you'll be able to take care of that very easily, from the diagrams I've looked at. Couple minutes at most.
There are already bi-xenon projectors available to fit into a 6054 mounting setup (Like the Supra has). It's what I was planning on putting into my AE86, however if you were to offer a similar bi-xenon HID setup for a cheaper cost, I would likely go for that.
Kit I'm thinking of is going for...
Toyota USA List: $429.77 and $162.71
My Dealer's List: $755.13 Cdn and $308.75 Cdn
If you order from Jay Marks, expect to pay about $310 and $120 USD for the parts, plus shipping.
I don't believe any of the parts do that anymore on there, which is fine, just go to Champion Toyota's site and enter the P/N in there and it will tell you the price.
I'd say 95% of the time it is going to be the lower that is worn out, and it's cheap enough that even if they're not, you might as well replace them anyways. The uppers are going to be expensive, at least $600 to do both sides for the control arms.
