You may be correct. Although it's possible that the rubber grommet/seal on the dipstick is shot. That would make for a cheap/easy fix if so.

True. The member list of the old site was deceiving as many were inactive. I think the thread on SF probably helped towards getting some people here that didn't know it existed before.
