    89+ front bumper

I think they're pretty close, but I would assume it is slightly different, as it wouldn't flare out quite as much at the wheel well due to it being a narrow body. I'm assuming this question was more of a is the narrow body bumper the same as the wide body (since GA70's came in both narrow and...

Tookwik's 7M-GTE COP ignition mod w/ stock electronics...pics and writeup

Yeah, the main problem with that is that it wouldn't look OEM. I'm crazy, but I won't do anything to my AE86 unless it looks like it came that way from the factory. Way too much work into doing that so far to give up on the coils, haha. Thanks for the help though.

Tookwik's 7M-GTE COP ignition mod w/ stock electronics...pics and writeup

Good point, I wasn't thinking. In any case, I'll have to think about it I guess. As far as my 7M goes, I actually like the way it looks stock, so I never really cared to rearrange things. On the 4A though, the DLI setup was only ever used in FWD arrangement, and the coils were mounted off the...

Also, for what it's worth, in case anyone wants new connectors for the coils, here are the part numbers: 90980-11246 - Plastic Connector Housing 82998-12440 - 160mm (6 inch) Wire Splice (2 required) or 82998-12590 - 500mm (20 inch) Wire Splice (2 required)

That's also with 6 coils, my engine will only have 2. It's something I'll have to think about though I guess. I'm sure I'll figure something out.

Tookwik's 7M-GTE COP ignition mod w/ stock electronics...pics and writeup

I was thinking about running these on my 4A-GZE, and using a 4A-GE center cover, which is open on the one end (front of the engine), do you think it's important for it to be vented above both coils, or would it being vented at the front and rear be enough ventilation? I just don't really want...

Coin Holder with the flip top.

Only a guess, but I know the other part of the console was made shallower to allow the airbag ECU to mount under the console. My guess is that part was made shorter as well.

So Im going for it...MKIV Dash into the MKIII

Speedo is by far the least of the problems, haha. For what it's worth, I'd love to have a MKIII interior in the MKIV. It's better.

    Yellow fog lights?

I know on the IS300 there are yellow fog lights as an option, it is not a yellow bulb, but something in the housing. Not sure what models had them versus the white ones, but I know they exist.

    This anyone here?

Front markers/clearance lights can be white or amber, but must have an amber reflective surface. Rears have to be red.

can you go a day w/o your computer?

Also, FWIW there were days last week I didn't touch a computer at all, all day. I do have a terrible bout of the flu though. :(

At home? No problem. At work? Meh, I'd prefer not to go without it.

Web masters - How to question

Looks like you have an index.htm and index.html file. I assume this is the one you want to stay? http://www.mdcmotorsports.com/index.html For what it's worth, I always work in direct coding mode, so it doesn't matter much what I use, but I have used a few of the programs out there and I...

Why do people add an "i" to Gracer?

The AE86 is the 5th gen Corolla, but so is the AE82, and there are a lot of different style Corollas, especially before 1992 (for North America), so using chassis code makes sense. Us North Americans consider the 79-86 Celica Supras to be Supras anyways, so that takes the 1st and 2nd gen...

    toyota 7mgte shortblock part #

052 is 87-88. 101 is 89, which is 6M crank. 102 is 90-92, which is 7M crank. Also, keep in mind that if you live close to a dealer that provides good discounts, these can be had for significantly less than MSRP from say Champion Toyota.
