It's a PAO like GC, but is a bit thicker at 100 deg C (13.7 cst). However, being a PAO viscosity will drop along the same rate as GC above that temp.
As suggested, you will need to buy a ZDDP additive if...
You have to drop the pan and replace the filter...it's actually a screen. A complete fluid change/flush will not clean the filter. IMO, putting a real filter in the cooler feed/return line circuit is a very good idea.
If you drop the pan, it will allow you to inspect the #1 solenoid causing...
A 160 stat is a bit cold...you want the coolant temps between 180 and 210 deg F.
xms - do you have an A/C condensor fan installed? What temp do the Flex-a-Lite's come on?
If you do some reading, the exception is a tranny that requires a GL-5. If the Celica requires it, it should not shorten it's life at all.
JJ - I thought you used MTL with excellent success , but wasn't sure.
Open carry is legal for anyone in AZ, no permit of any kind required. You have to have a CCW to carry concealed...this means that a CCW holder can carry concealed -or- open. Any business establishment can prohibit open carry on the premise by posting a sign on the door. Currently, carry of...
The GL-4 spec has been around for quite some time...maybe this will help:

If you are referring to a synthetic GL-4 vs a conventional (dino) GL-4, yes the synthetic is superior in resisting the shear you will find in a tranny...
The synchros are what I was wondering about...the high pressure additives in a GL-5 gear oil are corrosive (per above) to brass. Based on that, (if it were me) I would avoid GL-5 oils in the R-154. Even though the TSRM allows it.
In a stock to moderate HP drive train, MTL will be good to use IMO. It is a significantly thinner gear oil per below:
MT-90 - 15.6 cst @ 100 deg C...90.0 cst @ 40 deg C
MTL - 10.6 cst @ 100 deg C...56.2 cst at 40 deg C

Both are GL-4 oils which meet...
Considering what a FCD does, it's a grenade with the pin pulled on a stock motor. Yes, you can run one, but issue wise, an FCD can cause a BHG in a microsecond from an over boost-to-detonation without any additional fuel control. Consider the HKS alphabet soup of piggybacks was designed to...
