If i were you id add a second resonator on it.I really think you shouldve gotten a longer resonator than 14". I have a 28"magnaflow resonator on my car and it made it much more quiet than with the stock resonator that came with it (apexi n1). Just add in a longer resonator like the 28"one.
I think v8s in imports is pretty cool sometimes. Ive seen a couple of miatas with 302's in them. Oh and something on speed channel a long time ago..302 in an is300 w/5speed. ls1s in rx7s is a pretty common swap as well. The craziest build ive ever seen tho is a guy that turned a civic hatch into...
That could be a possible cause. Heres an instance i am referring to

^^what he said. Also might be a good idea to do a compression and leakdown test. What exactly is the turbo youre running? Do you have a flex section in your exhaust? That looks more like stock turbo numbers to me.315hp and 360tq?
No no no there is not one when the pipe is new. Really the chances are, it wont happen. The flex does not come with a bottleneck, it can just happen after it has been run on the car for a little while..This is only if the flex section is shitty. I didnt mean to cause a shit storm about this DP...
Well theyre torqued that much but all that torque is released where theres no head on the bolt. Try a big easy out, or if you have a dremel with a disc, try to cut a groove in it and use a flathead screwdriver to get it out.
I dont know if you were talking about me but i did not say anything about this pipe in particular... I was just stating something that has happened to me and one of my friends with a shitty flex pipe(from ebay)..I havnt seen inside pics of the said flex section so i dont know what the quality is.
I think the only thing id be worried about with the ebay DP is the flex section. Ive seen too many instances with crappy flex pipes collapsing on the inside. These were setups on turbo hondas. The 3" flex would look normal on the outside but once you take a look inside the pipe, it would be a...
Like everyone else said..Fix you PCV system...
Oh and when i used to be into DSMs, i noticed a few companys that make a spring to hold the dipstick in the tube because for some reasome even with a proper PCV system, it would blow the dipstick out at high boost usually >20psi. This is on 4g63's...
Check out these vids from porsche.Click on variable turbine geometry. http://www.porsche.com/usa/models/911/911-turbo/indetail/drive/ .
I think its pretty cool.Actually most of the vids from porsche are good.
Cool project.I wish i had the funds to do a 1jz swap(also a college student). Oh and i flew into bozeman 2 years ago when i took a ski trip to Big Sky..best skiing ive ever had.
