They did put 1jz's in them, but I don't think we ever got them in the states.

Definitely something to keep in mind. There are tons of guys out there that love the look of the 89+ front end, but there are also those of us (myself included) that prefer the the pre-89's. The downside is that we seem to be the minority, and the selection of front lips for pre-89 cars is...

The only way to go. The supra will break. They do that. And it will take time and money to fix it again, so it's really not a reliable DD.
