I think the sleepy eye is pointless unless it's with the NSX retrofit or of similar sort. You will just reduce your amount of light by half. Besides, when it's dark out, the oncoming cars see the light, not what the light's in. Waste of time and/or money imo.
Would this http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=239 suffice? It's right near my house, so I guess it would be worth a try, what do you guys think?
Well I'd like to get my own but I don't know the difference between the ones at Harbor Freight. My dad told me that I don't need a torque wrench, I just need to do one a little bit, then do the one diagnol of it, etc, etc. He said just not to overtighten it.
I don't have a torque wrench. Do you know where I can get one for cheap? There is a Harbor Freight right near my house. Which torque wrench would work, could you post a link? I don't want to spend a lot, I'm 15 and jobless.
lol, yea. I wasn't going to remove the caliper, I was just going to paint it with a brush. The most I'll have to do is take off the wheel, which I'm slightly worried about. I don't want to tighten it too much/not enough.
I mean, the car is basically a show car that I street drive. I'm not tracking it by any means but more braking performance can't hurt. Do you think the shop flushes the brakes?
Are all Akebono's ceramic?
How do they compare to Porterfield R4S's? I currently have AutoZone brakes in the front and Toyota OEM in the rear, will I notice a negligible difference?
I don't know if I should just tell them to go ahead and do it and live with Akebono pads or wait and be without a car, but get better parts but spend more money?
like I said, not an option. What I'm contemplating now is whether to order the parts from the shop or order the parts myself and have them install it. If I order the parts myself I'd be getting more/better parts but it would cost me more. I'm curious to know whether or not it's worth the extra $$$.
That's another problem. This is the only decent shop within walking distance of my house. We'd have to walk since my dad is the only licensed driver in the house.
