You obviously did not search or use the sticky. I hate to be the "search" police or whatever, but this is ridiculous. You got your answers (some of them, anyway) so now this thread is closed.

N/A MKIVs use the W58, so the "Altezzas" probably do too, seeing as they share the same engine as the N/A MKIV.

I know next to nothing about sound systems, except the one I have now is pretty bad and the speakers are blown. Does anyone hear know what I can do to get a decent quality sound without having to buy an amp? I don't want to add that much weight, etc. I hear I'll need speaker pods from a 91+...

134k on the body, not sure about the engine.

800 dollars for that may be ok. My brother got his n/a 5 speed and the engine was going to the crappers, for 800 bucks. The body/interior wasn't even that great.
