Ya, you got it. Usually when they start to go , you will notice a delayed shift that keeps getting worse, maybe shudders when shifting, maybe you have to back off throttle a little then it shifts. Those are the normal symptoms I've seen.
Unplug the solenoids or the ECT ecu, and shift L-2-D, if you get third in D, its an electrical (solenoid/ecu) issue. If you dont , its mechanical, time for trans overhaul.
Thanks man! I think its a toss up where the limitation would be on his setup between the stock intake, exhaust, IC piping. Im not expert enough to know for sure, but Im guessing he's pushing the limit on all that stuff.....and I know thats what makes it fun for him.

Exactly what Aaron said, and your pushing 540 RWHP through 2 inches, Im surprised it did that well, plus I think it might need more intercooler pushing that much boost, to help with the heat. I definitely think that could cause you problems on the high end. You are the king of pushing big power...
You need a seperate bung for the wideband and you want to put it farther away from the turbo, like two feet downstream, and off to the side, not the bottom or condensation will collect there, plus you dont want it hanging low where it can get hit. You can run without the stock, but you dont want...
