Emergency brake light stays on... usually

DOT3, DOT4, or DOT5.1. Chances are you have DOT3 in there now, if you're not flushing it, use DOT3.

Emergency brake light stays on... usually

Add some even if you haven't checked for leaks yet, etc. You don't want to run out of fluid in the master cylinder if you do have a leak. You can always check for leaks with the reservoir full of fluid ;). Jeff

Emergency brake light stays on... usually

Check your brake fluid. If it's low, check your brake pads. If they're still fine, look for leaks. Jeff

    Power leak er um steering

After having rebuilt a few pumps, it's really not that hard and it's expensive either. Worst thing that could happen is it still leaks, which is doubtful. Check the shaft for any scoring or damage, if it's good, and the front seal is where it's leaking, just pull it apart, change all the seals...

    how much do

Depends how you try to remove it. You can't just rip it off, of course it will take the paint, how do you think it sticks on in the first place. We remove them quite often at work, and very rarely have any trouble (only if we try to remove it from paint that hasn't cured long enough).

Anyone know the Toyota part # for turbo trunk struts?

You only waited 10 minutes for me to respond before posting this thread! LOL. They aren't the same left and right. 87: RH: 68905-14060 LH: 68906-14040 88: RH: 68905-14070 LH: 68906-14050 89+: RH: 68905-19046 LH: 68906-19026

    New winshield washer squirters FTW

Yup. They look the same externally from what I can remember, just the nozzle part looks different.

You shouldn't have to modify the hood in any way to put these in, if you have an 89+ that is. If you have a pre-89, you can get a newer hood (what I am going to do), or Dremel out the holes. Jeff

What is the worst mistake you have ever done to your supra?

Yeah, but those aren't part of the "build". I didn't include them.

What is the worst mistake you have ever done to your supra?

Didn't put the 89+ subframe braces in when I had the subframe out. Lost one, and now my subframe is cracked. Gay.

87 temp selector control unit. What gives?

European cars are different in quite a few ways. Post the model code ("MA70L-XXXXX") from the data tag on the firewall, as well as your chassis number (VIN). I'll get as much info as I can get for you about the car. Jeff

Also, this thread is far too on-topic to be in the OT forum. Moved to general discussions. :D

Am I the only supra owner who...

I'm not sure where you think the TEMS buttons are, but they are no where near the fog light, defrost, etc are. Though there was a coin holder or two up there for some years. 89+ without airbags had 2 coin holders up there, 89+ with airbags had 1 coin holder, as did 87-88's. Some 86.5/87's...
