Thank you for reminding me to put the turbo clamp back on I was meaning to do that. I took off the intake cam only so I can try to remove the fifth head bolt that is stripped that is my main concern at this point. If I can get it loose then I will remove the exhaust cam and take the head off...
Sorry I haven't been posting up pics but tonight I finally uploaded every single picture I took, here are some of the latest ones. I didn't take pictures when I removed the intake cam because my brother came home with our new adopted dog and I spent the rest of the evening getting him settled in...
Is that a Flepro gasket kit? Looks like the same one I have except yours is packaged much better than mine lol. Are you going to be using that gasket? Felpro say it's as good as OEM.
Check your hoses and maybe a crack in the radiator, run the motor and look where it is spraying from. Since it is being splashed onto the fan it has to be spraying from somewhere so you can find it that way. How old are the hoses? If they are original then I'd suggest changing them with better...
Is it hard to change? I read it's easy but all you do is remove the center console, take off the shifter then replace the parts and grease them up then reinstall right?
I thought Easy out wouldn't work on 7M head bolts because they aren't hex bolts, on the outside? I did find a 7/16 at Grainger, this one http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/BLACKHAWK-BY-PROTO-Hex-Bit-Socket-6PLG7
Well I went to two local stores that have lots of hex bits and they only have 12mm or they don't have 7/16" and in order to use the 12mm I'd need to remove the cam, which I don't mind doing as long as it will work. Could I use the 12mm or is that too big?
When I remove the cam to get to that stripped bolt, so I have to mark the position of the cams and such or do they go back in a certain way? Like right now it's at TDC so will the cam gears and the cam only fit in at TDC?
