    rack & pinion replacement

If it is just the rack and nothing else its not too bad. Four bolts hold the rack in place, 1 feed and 1 return line, and the tie rods. Do yourelf a flavor and order some poly rack bushings from suprasport or some fresh ones from Toyota as they are almost certanly shot. Some new copper...

Thanks! I just hope It's the driveshaft only and not the lsd taking a crap. But if it was the lsd there would have been metal in the old fluid right? ore a whining noise something of that nature? Never had to replace one and would rather not...

Don't know if anyone else has had this problem, or maybe I just didn't search it the right way but here goes. I have an 89 turbo with tokiko illumina2 struts rs*r springs and st swaybars. That said I have a strange vibration in the rear I can't seem to identify. It happens at lower rpms and...

what do your parents do with you and your car?

My parents hate my car lol. My moms first reaction was "Why did you sell your accord and get that ugly thing?" I almost couldn't stop laughing. Honda Accord vs. Toyota Supra......no contest. Only area the honda did better in was gas mileage. They just think I'll kill myself speeding, but...

    TEMS removal

You want stiff? I had monzo rs down struts and rs*r race springs on my 87 N/A. The struts were an inch shorter than factory and the springs were the Hardest I could find. You could sit on the car and it wouldn't even go down LOL. That lasted all of 6 months.(my back couldn't take it:cry:)

    powersteering or no power steering

What, you mean like a civic type-r? No a/c, no p/s, power nothing, basicly a dx with suspension and high powered motor. Actualy the first vipers were just like that LOL! I agree that would be nice but most companies want the "prestige" factor applied to their cars.

    powersteering or no power steering

Agreed! If I paied $30,000 for a car and it didn't have power windows I would be pissed! I think I'll stick with my $2,000 targa top, power window/door lock having supra! (Nice sig OneJoeZee) :biglaugh:

    TEMS removal

Epoxy the screw head in place and not worry about them? Why pay $400+ for tems struts if your going to do that! If they are original and don't work or you don't care for adjustability do this. Get some good tokico blues, remove tems actuators, and enjoy your new FIRM ride....:biglaugh:

    TEMS removal

Yea, you can do that, :nono: but you will soon realize that they will wiggle their way back to the normal setting or worse while you drive! If you delete the tems delete the tems struts....PERIOD. Tokiko blues or kyb gt2 are good, relatively cheep, struts to replace them. Hks and blitz made...
