If you dont think thats the culprit, go to an autoparts store and rent a coolant system pressure tester. You can pressurize to system to the right pressure(per rad. cap) and check for leaks without the engine running. That would be the easiest thing to do.
I'll be heading down to Destin on July 12th for 10 days. Maybe i'll swing by and get your ass motivated! I may help but hell, i'll be vacation!! :evil2: ;)
Platinum isnt usually the best choice in plug for a boosted application.
Sure the car came stock with plat. plugs. The manual also calls for 87 octane fuel. Do you run 87 in your car and drive it at the stock boost level with all the stock components on it? Most of us dont. Generally the rule...
Darn, I automatically thought it was a 7m..oops. Yes, different oil systems indeed. I was wondering wtf he was talking about with the oil-water cooler.
Switching to a full flow thermo-controlled system will normally raise your oil pressure over running the very restrictive, stock pressure based system.
The stock filter head is basically the weak link in the system so if you're just switching the actual radiator portion, i doubt you'll see...
HUh? So you bought the car with a BHG and you're now asking if you have a BHG? I no understand your post.
I would wait to buy the stopper HG untill you have the motor apart. If there really already is a MHG in there, more than likely it can be reused.
For a stock rebuild or lower hp (under 500) they should hold up fine. They're pretty much as oem as you can get without ordering a set from toyota. They should actually be able to hold up to more hp as long as your tune is good. Cast pistons don't like detonation is what im trying to get at.
^haha. Yea you'll need to add some more.
To get the bolt out you will either need to grind down the sides to make it flat, or lay a piece of duct tape(or similar) over it and try to get it off again. Tape on the head will give you an extra bite.
Well, you could either dig the wire out of the rubber, unpin it and resolder it.(Which is what i had to do for one of those) Or..You could buy a whole new plug and repin it.
Im pretty sure the top plug is the bvsv though. You'll just have to buy a new one because it had 2 vacuum ports on it.
