Well I took out two studs on the exhaust manifold that I suspected were causing the problem and when I took them out I noticed the threads that go into the head were filled in with metal sort of like a coil and the second bolt looked the same so I figured that is how it is. I put them back in by...

I tightened the exhaust manifold and the sound lessened and so I decided to drive the car down to my friend's beach house in Galveston, TX about an hour and a half drive or so over 160 miles round trip and the car did not miss a beat, still boosted quickly and strong temperature stayed steady...

I haven't had a valve adjustment I did lap the valve seats though. I didn't hear a knocking sound when I revved the engine just the ticking and I've done that 3k-3500 test multiple times as well as driven it around the neighborhood and it sounds and drives normal except for that very light...

Changing my head gasket, me asking for your help while doing this

A friend of mine who used to work on this car when the previous owner had it told me it sounds like a definite exhaust leak as well. At least it's not a rod knock I would be pissed if after all of the work I did on this motor and it runs beautifully for awhile then starts knocking. I will try...

I am seriously hoping I just need to tighten the exhaust studs lol, don't some people on here block off the EGR cooling plate?

I used a felpro gasket on the EGR cooling plate, the oem gasket that was on there was similar to what I used I had to scrape it off and cleaned the cooling plate it sure as hell was not metal lol.

I just started it up and listened around I can hear it clearly from the exhaust side toward the back of the motor. Here is a video I recorded I might just have to tighten the exhaust nuts some more because I didn't use the torque wrench when I had one on them, slap my forehead.
