How to get speedo to read right after diff swap?

The speed sensor has nothing to do with the speedometer gearing. The speedometer driven gear fits into the speed sensor, and can be changed. In fact, if you order the speed sensor, you will not get a gear and you'll be in a worse position, lol. What size tires do you have on that Soarer? I can...

Best Differential "How it works" Ever

Yeah really the only one I'd like to see an in depth look at is Torsen. I understand the mechanics behind it, but a simple demonstration of the principles would be totally neat, haha. Jeff

Please double check my Turbo plumbing....

That is the factory turbo flow path, so yes, you should get good flow. Jeff

Preparing A/C lines to be used

One thing I've noticed is that some of the information posted there regarding oil usage, etc is in direct contradiction to what Toyota says about retrofitting to R134a. A lot of it doesn't apply to me, as I will have a fresh system that never had R12 in it (effectively), but all Toyota retrofits...

    Noise when braking

How much material is left on your pads? Low brake fluid either means a leak or your pads are wearing. Noise is probably indicative of pads wearing out. Without doing a visual inspection, you aren't going to find much help online, sorry. Jeff

Preparing A/C lines to be used

Follow up question: I've taken one apart before, and put it back together, so I know how to do it; however has anyone ever seen any instructions or diagrams for performing the overhaul using the Toyota kit on a Denso TV14 A/C compressor? Just curious. Jeff

Preparing A/C lines to be used

I do have access to nitrogen actually. I will use it when I flush the lines. Thanks! Jeff

Preparing A/C lines to be used

ND-OIL 9 is the R134a PAG oil used to replace ND-OIL 7 in R12 systems. I will be pulling a vacuum for at least an hour on the system. After doing a quick Google search for "A/C System Flush" I seem to have found more information than I had found before when searching. Thanks! Jeff

Preparing A/C lines to be used

I've had an A/C setup sitting for years, with the lines exposed to air. What should I be using to flush/clean them so they can safely be used? Should I replace the expansion valve? Okay, here's the current plan, I'm not too experienced with A/C, but I do know some stuff and have read...

Edit: Which material is the least flexable?

Yeah I'd agree with Mike. I've seen some fibreglass spoilers that are unbelievably solid. The factory spoiler on the AW11 MR2 for example. You can probably stand on it without it even flexing. The newer Toyota factory spoilers are not quite as solid. I've seen some pretty poor CF spoilers as...

    Tire Placement Myths/Stupid People Q&A

There are merits to both sides of this theory, however I would very strongly suggest that bald tires not be put on the car in any position, front or rear. Typically speaking on a FWD car, the front tires will wear faster, as such, provided all 4 tires have at least 3/32" of tread, I'd suggest...

    JZA70 Vented brakes

They would need to be ordered from Toyota Japan, I'm not aware of any aftermarket sources that have the same style for the A70. I could be wrong. Jeff

Sorry, I misunderstood the original post. All JZA70's have the rotors being shown, IIRC. Jeff

    JZA70 Vented brakes

All A70 rotors are vented. Only the MK1 and MK2 had non-vented rotors, and only in the rear. Most cars have at least vented rotors on the front, except for cars like Tercels, lol. Jeff
