I was grossly mislead. I bought a CT that was supposed to be easily rebuildable. After it was inspected I was told that it looked like it had been ran out of oil several times. I had to buy another shaft for it after I had paid good coin for the whole thing. :nono:
I've reached a compromise. I'm ditching the CT & going with a T4 & SSAutochrome manifold. Jon (MDC) & Ideal have weighed in with their opinions & advice too. Once I get my CT sold, I'll get a 57mm / .68 exhaust housing T4 from Jon. When time & money permit, I'll get the GT3540R & put it on...

LOL, that's been my plan all along. :) While a 60-1 might not fit the reliablity catagory, it would be down right embarassing running my stock CT on my new motor. :nono:
I use Microstation. It can't be beat. I'm sure that there are purpose driven design software that is the cat's meow when it comes to work within the field it was designed for, but for general purpose CAD design, Microstation absolutely rocks.
I read somewhere here (searched again, but couldn't find) that the ideal clearance for JE's was .004 to .0045 to avoid piston slap. Bottom line, is .004 too little clearance?
