What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Bought a set (think this was either the second or third set of wheels I bought for this car) of the Konig Villians for my 89, they ended up on the girlfriend's Mazda3. Look pretty damned good on there too. :) Pretty sure he was just taking pictures dude. ;) As for me, changed out my spark...

    polyurethane suspension bushings huge noise

The Supra is one of the only cars I have seen that do not require periodic greasing of the bushings. I had an SS Camaro a few years ago (2001) that I did not realize required greasing the bushings. After a while, it began to squeak quite a bit. Inconvenient, sure, but it gives you an excuse to...

omg guiz! look!! holy shit this is the nicest supra i have ever seen!!

Just curious, is that a MkIV wing, or something else? Something (well, many things really) seem off here...

    The Small Questions Thread

If nobody has answered your question, I suggest doing so if you haven't already disassembled everything and mixed it all up... reason being, to my understanding, these things can wear, and we're talking about tolerances of thousandths, so... I would keep it as close to spec as you can possibly...

    92' Turbo Supra Suggestions

Glad to know we do the world some good. :) As for the Mustang comment, I really feel the same way. While I can appreciate (and would love to drive one, if only to see how far Ford has come with the Mustang), the guy with the 70's Cosworth Escort parked next to it COMMANDS my appreciation, since...

    Auto Tranny cooler question.

What else is it for? I haven't had a car with an auto in such a long time, but I can't think of any other purpose... you have me quite puzzled here JJ. TSRM have an answer? Or is this one of those general knowledge things you pick up with time?

Window goes down but not up?

Err... word of advice to you all concerning this. Keep the dynamat type products to a minimum when putting it on a door, and leave the holes covered. Sure, having doors with 5-10lbs of the stuff on there makes for a nice reduction in road noise, but it makes fixing anything inside the door a...

Is it worth to raise ti back??? ----> MK3...

To the OP, if you have the spare cash, and foresee that your life will stay stable enough to support a car hobby along the lines of restoring/maintaining a Mk3 Supra, I say go for it. If however, you doubt that you could afford it if something came up, I'd say walk away and find something else...

    Shineautoproject Weekend Sale

Could always do what I did, and wait until you had all the cash ready for the body kit you want, then pay for everything at once. $175 really doesn't seem like much compared to the rest of a $2000+ bill from Shine. :p Oh, and travweek, one thing to consider about the widebody, things can spiral...

    Air induction question

So, what I took from that is that if your car is relatively stock, stick with stock style filters, but this all goes out the door when you slap that big single on the car and want to suck in small creatures along with the air it pulls in... am I close to the point? :p

    I.C.E question (head units)

Take Crutchfield's fitment advice with a grain of salt by the way... They said the speakers that fit my rear pods wouldn't fit my front pods, and they most certainly did. The required work? Had to snip some rather thin metal where the screws attach the speaker to the door. And by snip, I mean...

Airflow at X psi elevation difference?

Definitely experienced with the perils of high altitude (I live fairly low in Wyoming, at about 6200' or so), and have driven/lived in other places at significantly lower elevations. About the only difference I noticed in the turbo car was the amount of lag increased a bit up here. Just having...

    I.C.E question (head units)

Pretty much any double din unit will fit. Pioneer has some nice navigation (via dvd) units for a reasonable price, although the screen isn't in the best place for a navigation head unit...

Airflow at X psi elevation difference?

Paging the smart guys around here, with knowledge of fluid dynamics and whatnot... Take car A, it is a Turbo car. At sea level, where the ambient air is more dense, does the turbo work less to maintain X psi, as opposed to say 6000' elevation? Or does X psi simply flow more air at the lower...

Is it worth to raise ti back??? ----> MK3...

Not a terrible looking car for the price, and you seem to have an understanding that you have a long, uphill road ahead of you concerning the restoration of this car to proper condition. That said, it seems you're driving an Eclipse or Talon? I didn't know those were exported. Also, what is...

    Stock 906 rwhp 1jz skyline

Well, can't argue with you there... still, how that was done on a stock motor... you got me there. Well done regardless of the motor, 900hp is 900hp either way. :)

Finished 2jz swap: The epic adventure Celica

Anybody know if there are any structural reasons to not do this? I've contemplated doing it to fit my PWR and JZ combo in my Mk3... would have to scoot the AC condenser forward if I wanted to do it though. As for the swap itself, awesome idea! :D

    Adjusting boost?

Most of us don't have LS based v8's either. ;) And I thought you WERE Hamilton? No? You're gonna tell me that Santa Claus isn't real next, aren't you? :(
