    Torque Plate?

you know whats funny? I had never heard of anyone doing this before, but I had the idea myself since I had a spare 7M head. The machinist I talked to thought it was a ridiculous idea and wanted no part of it. Since then I've seen pics of one made from a head and heard several people mention...

    Tailgating

This reminded me of a time was driving around in my old pickup. There was an asshole tailgating me very close down a 30mph city street. It was a smallish 4 door car, something like a Corsica. I slowed down quite a bit, enough to make it clear I didn't enjoy him riding my ass. Then, at a stop...

Update: 7/12/09- White car stripped for paint

Looking good, Bryan did a really nice job. I think now your whole unibody might crack in half before the rear subframe does. :)

    Dual Ball Bearing CT-26?

really, assuming the intake and head and all the flow restrictions are the same, it's as simple as: pressure * air density = oxygen delivered the difference between two different turbos at a given pressure (all else being equal) is their efficiency at that pressure. People tend to run ct26s...

    Project V8 Supra

Good. They're all aluminum so not too heavy. The stroke is near square. Redline is 6500rpm. If you browse lextreme you will see some amazing numbers. There's a naturally aspirated one with ITB's, radical cams, and the works that makes over 500hp. As for forced induction: HKS had a drag MKIV...

    Project V8 Supra

you'll want to get an SC400 1UZ oil pan. the LS400 pan's sump interferes with the crossmember IIRC. check car-part dot com for 1uz's. I grabbed mine from a local junkyard out of an sc400 that got in a rearend collision, but I've seen several on there.

Update: 7/12/09- White car stripped for paint

Yeah, life has been doing a good job keeping me away from my car and the forums. It's great when things come apart like they're supposed to! I think I've settled on OEM rubber bushings. I only need the ones with the camber bolts in them to get things rolling again.

Update: 7/12/09- White car stripped for paint

that looks familiar. mine was a bit worse and I mangled it trying to get the control arms off, so I got one sent from south carolina that just has a tiny bit of surface rust. everything else cleaned up real nice with a wire wheel. I had some bushings with siezed camber bolts that I ended...

sleepy eyes without modifying a thing.

yeah, honestly the car looks best with the lights down. In the dark, low profile lights look nice (supranicks lights are my favorite,) but you're just being an idiot putting your lights up when they don't need to be up.

sleepy eyes without modifying a thing.

    if you want to make your headlights lower because you think it looks better, get lower profile lights that can still point at the road (instead of the inside of your bumper) and modify the light assembly accordingly. else{ glue(dildos, car); }

    Dual oil filter mounts

Is it worth it to get the dual filter mount with a filter relocation kit? What are your opinions? They work in parallel to reduce the amount of oil that gets bypassed, right?

    Do you LOVE junkyard treasures?

I just got a rear subframe shipped up from north carolina... Mine was just in too bad of shape to save thanks to NY salty roads. It's waiting for me at the fedex depot right now... Yes, I agree, that site is amazing.
