Hard to believe the GNX was actually part of the C4C.
Those sold in $60000 range when new. Anyone that owned one had to know what they had.:sarcasm:

First: suction will show that there is vacuum in pcv system when everything is hooked up.
Second: the throttle body port isnt small. Its pretty much that size all the way thru (around 1/2 inch). Unless thats what you mean by small.:icon_bigg
Third: This is exactly what my car did. Only...
I know that when that when the seals leak from a malfunctioning pcv, they take a few weeks to quit leaking. Even when the problem was corrected.
Did you remove the TB to clean both sides? If not you should. I stuck a small screwdriver in there turning it and kept getting junk out of it while...
All connectors on the MOTOR are same except O2 sensor & CS injector.
My 89 for sale has a 91 motor I put in it. All matched except above.
The best thing to do is get a 91 harness and ecu for your car. And sell what you have.

PCV system thats not hooked to vacuum will create too much crankcase pressure. Which results in blowby thru rings, valves, seals.
I know where your coming from. I dealt with my issue for a while.
Your thinking before I had no pcv system hooked up it didnt smoke/leak. Mine didnt either...
I just did a gte swap in a 89 ge car last fall. I ended up using a 88 harness. The B1 plug (body harness to eng harness) is the same 87 thru early 89. BUT the 89 pinouts are NOT. I had to remove the pins from the plug on some wires so they were routed to the correct locations. Both manuals will...
I read your thread.
Heres a problem I had on two cars. One mine and one I did a swap in.
First I ran a catch can (Im a old school musclecar guy). Didnt realize these cars needed vacuum on pcv to work correctly. So I ran it similar to yours. Still same problem. I ended up running stock...
I worked on two cars with this problem. Boost leak most likely.
Check the lower ic hose that attaches to the turbo. They are almost always the culprit. They get brittle and crack at the joint to the turbo where all the heat is. If you dont want to jack the car up, Take the accordian hose and...
The spacer in your picture is a toyota spacer used on the autos.
Measure bolt lengths to be sure. Cannot tell from pictures. You definately do not want to use auto bolts. Since that spacer was put on there, was this a auto car originally? That would explain why someone put the spacer back...
Just take it back and have him depth mic on each side and cut the cover seperate.
Just to note. I have done several headgasket jobs. On four of them, the cover was high anywhere from .004" to .007" from the factory. None of these were previously tore down. Could be another reason why there is...
GE and GTE pumps are different. I definately wouldnt run a ge pump new or old.
Just drop the tank and put it in.
Easy way to drop tank is to unbold tank straps from rear. Then when you put back in get some longer bolts to start. Once you get one bolt in on each side (2 bolts on each side)...
Weigh each piston to see how close they are.
Plus if you had the assembly balanced with different pistons, check those to see how they are to one another.
Machine shop shouldnt charge much if some of the new pistons need work to get same weight.

GT500 was first produced in 2007 (later stuff) and was rated at 500hp (not brakehp) with mid to high 12sec quarter times.
If it was a 98ish then it wasnt a gt500. But Ford claimed you bolt on their supercharger and headers to achieve 500hpon these (5.4l that is). Plus this generation was a...
Run your car down the track!!!
Why doesnt anyone drag their cars at these events? You dont have to run 10's to have fun racing.
If everyone is just going to show their car, then there is no need to have it at a track.
Who was the shop that ran the dyno this year? How big is their...
