    valve clearances

I've heard of JE pistons doing that, but just because I've heard that doesn't mean that is the case with your engine noises. Valve clearance can cause a rattling, or "tapping" noise, and this very well may be the case if you are hearing it mostly in the head.

    What would you do?

With the MkIVs you have more meat/better traction, and they look great. If you want 'em, go ahead, but I personally would not.

    Just weighed my Supra...

This is usually what Supra owners do, even the MkIV guys; it's the nature of the beast. It would be nice if the Supra weighed as little as some of the sport compacts out there, but since we don't have THAT advantage, we can make up for it with OUR advantage of more displacement and a stronger...

2JZ harness. All of those tags are masking tape with the connector and wire number. How's THAT for "pwNed"? Seriously, I'll be fine extending it - wiring is not hard, but I thought that pic looked funny.

I think i found my novelty seat I want...

Dude, Siman - I've had the bug forever. A military man cannot afford this hobby. My ultimate goal is a MkIII with an AEM managed 2JZ and 500-700rwhp. I didn't know that your seats were replicas I absolutely love mine, though.

    dodge neon

If I wanted a good turbo engine with under 3 liters of displacement, I'd get a 3S-GTE or 1JZ-GTE. At least with the cars that have those engines you get RWD or AWD. That, and you'll have a Toyota. ;) Seriously, even though these new top model Neons are a completely different animal than the...

    Woooooooooooooo

Man, that happened to me on some of that 100 proof Southern Comfort - that stuff is rot-gut, and I wouldn't wish it on my enemies. I laid down to sleep and felt like I was in one of those gravitron amusement rides.. being pulled down and to the side. Horrible feeling. Seriously, even though the...

    T26 Turbo? wtf?

Just letting you know that I've never heard of a T26, but the Supra comes STOCK with a CT-26 from the factory. Some people have their CT-26 upgraded to a 60-1 or 62-1 trim, however, these "Stage 4" and Stage 5" CT-26 rebuilds would not flow enough air for 700hp. It would be more like 500-ish or so.

    what is this??

"Why you wanna go cluttering your mind with the inconsequential?" Seriously, I've heard that this is just the difference between emissions compliance between engines.. I believe it may have something to do with the EGR. Don't take my workd for it, but the "U" is nothing to ponder or worry about.

I think i found my novelty seat I want...

I bought generic EBay specials - black simulated leather Sparco Torino replicas. Was about $350 shipped for TWO seats. Aside from trying to get them mounted in [making my own brackets], they are perfect. I sat in one while working on my wiring harness for a few hours, and it was pretty damn...

    RIP Mike U

I didn't know Mike, but I knew of him. Still, for some reason I feel really sad about this - and that says alot because it is uncommon for me to feel sad about anything. I think I'm going to go pound a bottle of Guiness in his honor, and I'll have a few more this weekend. What a pathfinder...

    Non-Recommendation: BoostParts.com

Guys, I ordered a Greddy oil filter relocation kit for a 2JZ [doing the swap] from this company through EBay. I was told that it was going to be on backorder, and would take time to come in. I've e-mailed them several times since the initial order, and I still haven't received the part. In the...

oil filter relocation kit (Advance Auto Employess READ)

Just get a single filter kit and use the stock Toyota filters. Most MkIV owners swear by the OEM oil filters. From SupraStore, it's $15 for a 3-pack of OEM filters. Decent, especially for an OEM part. At least get a reputable filter with an anti-drainback system. Oil/Lubrication and cooling are...
