to make good power to 8k.. 272 cams (now small core 272s as they are like 264s)... I'm not sure when the head & intake ports will cut into flow.. I have yet to see any dynos with hks 272 or similar cams to see where the powerband is.. you could rev to 8k on a 264 cams, but it wont make much...

I reved my 1jz to 7600 with crower 264 (272 small cores)... I didn't have springs/retainers, and it wasn't my engine any more so I didn't want to push it.. I dont think it would of made any more power above that though..
you might not get hp on the dyno but going down the track will add hp at the top end from the added cooling ability over the stock cooler..
if your aits were less you would of had more power.. simple as that..
I have a used spec I could send to get tested.. its probably weak though, its been rode hard and put up wet..
Some poeple have said the stock pp with a 6puck can handle some decent power.. probably not heavy drag racing or anything, but will hold power on the street..
what 'chips' can you get for an fcon?
They mod the injector signals correct? will they go to high duty cycle (like their own map) or will they just cut the stock singnal down? Might be a nice upgrade for singles to upgrade injectors beyond 550cc..
