The reason it blows off faster when shifting is because the rpms drop a lot faster whereas if you just let off the gas they go down slowly and more exhaust gases are still spinning the turbo.
Go back to star bucks, buy another whatever-it-was-you-got, eat the glass and drink the shit, then wait for the abdominal pains to come, and go to the hospital... Have fun at court!

Why didn't you just take the belt off at the time since your PS wasn't working anyways? It would have gave you back that robbed HP so the car could get up and go easier.

It was brand new when installed on my cousin's supra, and yes, it is the actual HK$ brand BOV. It is the newer generation that is non-adjustable. It was only ran on his car for like 100-200 miles. As soon as I took it off his car and put it on mine, it didn't surge. It wasn't the BOV to blame...
I never heard mine leak when I had it on, but my turbo was pretty loud too. I was running stock boost with it and it was pretty damn high pitched.
It would surge really bad on my cousin's car though :dunno: , sounded good, but not good for it.
