    HKS BOV Flutter/Surge

Used, unfortunately. I've been considering it, but I've also been thinking about switching back to the stock BOV port and using my Saab BPV again. That never had any problems at all. How much are syncronics usually?

    Rofl, something Sean hasn't driven.

    HKS BOV Flutter/Surge

Well, for a slight update, I think I've squared the problem. The vacuum input on the HKS BOV is TINY! Any vacuum hose that I try to use without using a coupler of some sort is too large/loose for the BOV port, or too small to fit on a TB port, or requires an adapter from an IM port. I put some...

Sean is shootin' for the one thing he's always shot for: running his mouth online.

I have a bunch of stock IC piping and such. Not pretty, but has always fit and been reliable for me. But I'm starting to hope for a few hundos out of this...how are my exhaust, oil pump, and rods treating you? :biglaugh:

    HKS BOV Flutter/Surge

I guess I wasn't totally clear on this, but this BOV is surging at lower boost, no question, air does not escape the BOV in the 1-5 psi range, roughly.

    HKS BOV Flutter/Surge

So about two months ago, I got a new intercooler/hardpipe kit for my 7M, and included with it was an HKS-style flange as an alternative for the stock BPV port. I purchased and installed a GENUINE HKS SSQV, and this damn BOV keeps surging. If I drive hard, surging isn't such a big deal, it...

    Door Speaker Question

My 6.5" Infinity Kappa 63.7i speakers fit in the front doors, with 6.5" speaker pods, and no modifications to the 1990 door without any issue at all.

    Cruise control in a 1JZ?

To get cruise working, you will need an actuator from a Turbo car.

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Good idea! He should pick up Scott's '87 Gay Blue car. :biglaugh:

Emilio's Rebuild & Improvement Build Thread

With my stock headgasket, I don't really feel comfortable trying to get more power out of this engine, best to just leave it as it is and enjoy it. I just want the Boost Controller to settle in nicely, hopefully making 290-310 at the wheels, and do stuff to make the car nicer in General. Right...

Emilio's Rebuild & Improvement Build Thread

Little mini-update: ABS is now working, so Rob can be proud, and Sean and Steve can make fun of me. :icon_bigg I also need to finish properly setting up the boost controller. I need to better learn how to use the AEM on the fly, and set aside some time on long straight roads to get it set up.

The new funky_monkey58 build thread sleeper style?

...What the hell causes those to pop out. I've never even HEARD of that happening. That seriously sucks, the car was running strong too. And by out of the Supra game, do you mean you're getting rid of your car, or doing a V8 swap like you've been talking about?
