Wow, A/C stuff is complicated at best.
I'm going for an R-12 refill after a leak test of my system and if that doesn't do the trick I may try R-134 or just rip out the system entirely. Ugh.
Welcome!!! I never click on intro threads, but you're from S.A. and that's pretty sweet!!
I bet you hardly ever, ever see another mk3.
Oh and yes, it's mk3, not mk2. maybe that was a typo. :)
My comment was directed towards the OP, sorry for the confusion. I see how the whole cell thing can scare you, but thats why you just say no, I'm sorry but I dont let people I dont know use my phone. :) A simple no goes for the money begger too.
I'm all for CCW permits... but how the hell do people asking to use a cell phone or asking for change threaten your life?
Middle of the day, on a commuter train, someone asks to borrow a cell phone and gets a gun in the face... Thats not at ALL what CCW permits are for. :nono:
Now if someone...
I dont understand why people have trouble getting into reverse.
It's simple: Car running in neutral, release clutch so tranny spins, push in clutch, wait 1-2 seconds, put into reverse while tranny is still slowing down.
This is all done while car is stationary in case that wasn't clear. Works...
Why would he take it apart again just to check for flatness?!?!
Leave it on and if you are paying attention to your car (like you have been) you will know almost as soon as it blows. Dont worry about it until it happens or you have a good week to tear it apart.
Fwiw though, I think *anytime*...
I got a pressure test kit yesterday from Autozone, but stupid me, I didn't realize the kit was missing the pieces that allow you to put the kit on the radiator. Durr.
The interior is ok. There are Recaro SE seats in it currently. I have some stock blue fabric seats to put in if anyone wants...
Today we took off the thermostat housing and redid the gasket there with RTV. Coolant still drips like crazy when running. You can hear a hissing from the area of the thermostat housing right after it is shut off. What else could it be? HG? Freeze plugs as mentioned above? :dunno:
A friend and I picked up an 89 turbo for a summer project. Car has been sitting for 2 years. Our plan is to bring it back to healthy life by the end of the summer.
It had a dead battery and even with a jump it would not start. We found a CPS wire had been broken/snapped. We spliced the wire...
130 would be pretty good for a first timer keeping score legitimately.
Have fun though!!! You'll probably suck for a while, but dont let it get you down. If you start making improvements the game gets very, very fun. :)
Huge golfer here. :)
I shoot an 80-85 on a good day. Never higher than 95.
Been playing most my life on and off. It can be fun no matter how good you are if you play with people who are worse. ;)
Helpful hint if you're pretty new to golf: Dont swing too hard. Dont look up.
You sound like my girlfriend. She always thinks waaaay too much about how random people interact with her and what it means...
There are "douche-fags" all over in every walk of life. Some even post among us! :D
Just dont let an idiot here and there ruin you state of mind. :)
I forget what it's called, but its been proven that when people are put in a situation with more people to blame, they are less likely to act. "Dispersion of responsibility" or something like that.
Basically, if it's just 2 people that witness something they are much more likely to help than if...
