Suprarx7nut 's 7MGE BHG repair job done right (hopefully)

Two years ago I knew how to change the oil and air filter. That was it. All it takes is time, patience and reading. I learned EVERYTHING you need to know to change a head gasket right here on this forum. The help on this site is un-matched and simply astounding. Learn to heed the warning of...

    The Radiator fan constantly running.

OP: Your fan sounds perfectly fine. It is supposed to spin all the time. Some cars have main fans which go on and off, the MKIII is NOT one of them... /Story...

    Help on # 74 .L.E.D. Mod

I had to sand most (if not all my #74's). Look at exactly why they are not staying in. The top of the base (near the end of the contacts) is too broad. You need to sand down that area so that the bulb will fit in further... Kinda a pain to sand, but it's not hard to figure out. Some of mine...

A/C won't work after replacing idler pulley

No codes present at all when jumpering diag terminals (E1 and TE1), with the A/C turned on before jumpering, foot off accelerator, throttle closed, key turned from off to on. The check engine light just flashes quickly to indicate no codes. Why should I have a code 51 when doing this? I...

Stolen: White 1989 MKIII - Gardena, California USA = RECOVERED!

Funny how that works, isn't it. If I were forced to live in any of those places I'd have a garage with steel bars and alarms before I worried about anything more than a bed...

    MkIII TSRM Online

Who *is* responsible for it? I'd like to know, out of curiosity. It's an amazing tool and even though I have a paper copy, I find myself using the TSRM online a bunch still. (Online for doing research and prepping for repairs, paper back for the garage.)

Most miles a week you put on your supra.

I think Ian is going to take the cake, but: Last summer I did ~250miles/week just getting to and from work. When I went to SILV last fall, I did ~1700 miles in 2.5 days, about 25 hours of driving. And I'd do it again in a heartbeat. :)

    My 88 MR2 N/A

I have an MR2 as well. I couldn't even tell you the year of it, lol. I know it's an 87 or 88, but I can't recall which one. That is truly sad. Anyways, its a fun little car. Drives like a go kart. Not nearly fast enough to keep me interested in it long term though... It will likely...

    SILV09 - Cancelled

I want to go to Vegas this summer/fall whether it is a sponsored event or not. I'd be down for a grassroots meet of some sort. IE, Everyone meet at this place at this time on this day and we'll all go for a drive... Even though, there wouldn't be many people to actually show for a low budget...

    engineering jobs anyone?

Yup, Mechanical. If you want to do something with cars, it would be a good idea to join the FSAE team at your college, so make sure your school has one if you want to go that route. I'm in mechanical, but never joined the sae team. I kinda wish I did, but spend plenty of time working on cars...

Broken clutch fork caused an additional issue

Dammit man, you have some shit luck. Every time I read a thread of yours its about some obscure part breaking, catching on fire, smoking, exploding or some other destructive means to an end... One of these days a perfectly functional car will waltz its way into your life and make up for all...

    Best head unit under $150?

Alpine if you like sound quality and a simple look. I've had 4 different brand decks (Sony, Pioneer, Clarion, Kenwood) and none come close to the simple look and sound quality the alpine provides. My current deck had to be sent in for service 3 times in the first year. That was 7 years ago...

    The (old) Official Gun Thread.

I finally paid for my sig 239 .40 in full the other day. Bought it from a friend's brother and got quite a deal on it. :) I'm looking into laser sights. At this point, it's more of a curiosity than anything, but I'm wondering who has had experience with various laser forms for handguns. IE...
